| Jacky and Michael:
"We are both very happy living here at Madley Park, since moving
here last October. We have lovely neighbours and find living here very
friendly and quiet. It is good to know that there is a residents association
and having attending a meeting I am reassured they are looking after the
communities interests. The green spaces are a real bonus and it is a joy
to see the children actively using them." |

Kathryn, Simon, Samuel & Jessica:
"As a Yorkshire lass, I enjoy living in an area which cares about
its community so when I first arrived I attended the residents association
meeting. The meeting was great – I thought 'yes I want to give some
time to this' ! It’s not a lot of work but I feel I’m doing
my bit which gives me plenty of time left to spend with my family. We
really enjoy living on Madley Park. Discovery Days events are a good way
of meeting people and cater for everyone." |

Ali, Richard and children:
"Our family have made some good friends and attended some great social
events such as the Jazz evenings, BBQs and the Toddler Discos. My children are
learning what it is to be part of something that we can all take great pride
in, as we are part of it. The community at Madley Park offers something for
everyone. My children really enjoyed attending the ‘Toddlers @ 10’
sessions and the JIGSAW group on a Sunday afternoon. As well as the residents
association I am a member of one of the community book groups which run and
again I have found this to be a great environment to make friends and chat over
something which we all have in common. I can’t imagine our life without
the 'community' – long may it continue!"

Richard and Carole:
"“We have now lived on Madley Park for some three years and really
feel God calling us to the area. We are involved with St Mary’s church
in a number of ways and we are also enthusiastic members of the ‘Discovery
1’ small group, which meets every Tuesday evening. We are both keen to
see the community develop on the estate and are founder members of the residents
association. We have been encouraged to see relations develop between the community
and organisations such as the county, district and town councils and the police,
as well the estate developers." |
