Funding has been made available to put on events covering the cost of hall hire, set up etc. These monies are taken from 'Cutting Edge' funds, a Diocese of Oxford project developing Fresh Expressions of church and community. There are also ‘one off’ socials such as Jazz evenings, Pamper evenings ,Toddler Discos, walks, craft events that are open to all.You can also attend events with a Christian flavour....The project co-ordinator works alongside health, social services, the police and other agencies to help promote good community values. She is also in touch with all the builders on the estate. A Residents Association has been formed and a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme. Regular Open Residents meetings are held, to which all are invited We are excited that a playground was built in August 04 and a 60 bed Care Home in March 05 and a community shop is to open on Nov 18th 05. The new schools Madley Park and Springfield, act as great focus for, and are central to community activities.New projects that are being explored are the building of a Community Centre with potential community usage, as well as a teenage centre and a further play area.
